In a recent interview with YG Entertainment‘s founder and representative Yang Hyun Suk, word of Akdong Musician‘s (AKMU) comeback has finally been announced.
In an exclusive interview with media portal OSEN, Yang Hyun Suk revealed that AKMU’s comeback will occur in April. The sibling duo will be releasing their 2nd studio album, which has been a long time waiting since their initial debut with their 1st album in April 2014.
Additionally, Yang Hyun Suk revealed that brother Lee Chanhyuk has approached him, saying that following album activities, he would be enlisting in the military with plans of joining the airlift troops or the Marine Corps, even asking the agency founder to give his sister a solo album while he was away.
He was even quoted saying, “I think I can come up with new lyrics while adapting to a new and tough environment in the military,” when Yang Hyun Suk questioned him on why he wanted to go to the military so early.
With this being AKMU’s last album in awhile, every effort to make this their most successful promotions yet is being put into it.
