The Album Fans Have Been Waiting For For 8 Years And Counting

Previously, it was reported that Red Velvet‘s Yeri and Wendy would be leaving SM Entertainment. The news hit hard when fans realized that Yeri was the only one who had not yet released a solo album.

Many had been waiting for Yeri to release a solo to complete the set. All of the other members’ solos match in theme and material, leaving Yeri’s to complete the collection. In fact, many predicted that her solo would be upcoming in 2025.

Yeri is not the only to leave the company before fans could get their hands on a solo. Famously, f(x)‘s Krystal has left fans waiting for 8 years. In 2017, it was published in the news that she was preparing for a solo debut. In 2025, the album is still no where to be seen.

The public has noted that Krystal’s album failed to materialize as she is particularly picky and perfectionistic about the music she puts out. It was alleged that she did not like any genre specially, and decided to move towards acting instead. Many still find it a pity that Krystal has not picked up the microphone since.
