Another “I-LAND 2” Girl Group Will Reportedly Debut Alongside izna
A new girl group is expected to debut from the popular show I-LAND 2. The new girl group will reportedly be separate from the previously announced lineup izna.
According to industry insiders and reports on August 28, a new group is being formed from the contestants who didn’t make it into izna. This group will be entirely independent and will operate separately from izna’s activities. The management for this upcoming group will reportedly be overseen by H1GHR MUSIC.
In the K-Pop industry and its survival show scene, it’s common for additional groups to emerge from successful competitions. For instance, Produce 101 Season 2 led to the creation of groups like JBJ and RAINZ alongside the main group, Wanna One. Similarly, Boys Planet brought forth both ZEROBASEONE and EVNNE as separate entities.
In I-LAND 2, this new group is expected to showcase a different musical style and concept, allowing them to establish their own unique identity in the industry.
A representative from CJ ENM mentioned that they are carefully considering various strategies to support the future careers of the I-LAND 2 participants, with this new project group being one of the options under review.
