Korean Man Sentenced To Prison For Sexually Harassing AOA’s Seolhyun
FNC Entertainment announced that a Korean male has been found guilty of sexually harassing AOA’s Seolhyun through social media. The male in question, had been sending sexually humiliating and disgusting messages to the Instagram account that Seolhyun personally runs.
According to FNC Entertainment, in April they began the process of pressing charges, and the defendant has been charged to 6 months in prison and 2 years of probation by the Incheon District Court.
Other cases involving the creation and publication of falsified photos are awaiting decisions from the law courts.
Another netizen who was accused of defamation of character, spreading smear campaigns, posting false rumours, and malicious slander has also been informally charged and is awaiting word from the law courts. Several other netizens associated with these actions and brought to court are being investigated by the prosecutor’s office.
FNC Entertainment is working hard to protect the basic rights of their artists and to correct the improper parts of cyber culture.
