Former APRIL’s Lee Naeun Cast As Lead In New Drama, But Netizens Aren’t Happy
Former APRIL‘s Lee Naeun will be making a comeback to the industry. She was recently announced as the lead of Child Shopping (also known as I Shopping Or Eye Shopping), an adaptation of a webtoon about adoptive parents who are able to get a refund on their adoptive children. The name is a play on the Konglish word for “window shopping” and the Korean word for “children.”
Actors Won Jin Ah, Yeom Jeong Ah, and YouTuber Dex will all be starring in the show. As the female lead, Lee Naeun will make a comeback to the industry that ousted her after she was caught in a bullying scandal. In response to the news, netizens are naturally unhappy at her casting.
- It’s not like there’s no one to replace her.
- She can’t act.
- I’m not watching this.
- She’s not an irreplaceable actor or anything, so just why!
- LOL, ugh.
- Hmm…
- Isn’t she Lee Kang In’s girlfriend?
- Her? They’re helping her make a comeback? As the lead even? *shakes head*
- Her controversy aside, she’s not even good at acting. Same goes for the other actor. It’s not like they have a fanbase or will make money, so I’m curious as to why they’re using them.
- This is too much.
- She’s not super good at acting, and she also has a controversy. Just why are they using her as the lead?
- Wow.
- For real, must they? Did her company pay them?
- Huh? LOL.
Lee Naeun was previously accused of bullying former member Lee Hyunjoo. You can read more about the case below.
