ARMYs can predict and analyze everything BTS-related very thoroughly.
But after a certain point, they are also vigilant about protecting the members’ privacy. So, then, how did the fans get to know about V’s caller tune?
It was through none other than Na PD himself, also known as Na Yeon Seok, one of the most beloved TV producers in South Korea.
Na PD and V share a close dynamic since the BTS member was a part of his show Jinny’s Kitchen.
Recently, Na PD hosted a live YouTube mukbang, where he and his co-host tried food items popular among the “MZ generation,” which is an umbrella term used in South Korea to refer to millennials and gen z.
During the broadcast, Na PD called some acquaintances to ask about their food recommendations, and after a live viewer suggested it, he decided to call V. But as soon as the call connected, he was left stunned by the unexpected caller tune that greeted him.

It turns out, when you call V, the song his caller tune plays is “A Nightingale Sang in Berkley Square” by Vera Lynn. The song is a British romantic track, written in 1939 and published in 1940, with lyrics by Eric Maschwitz and music by Manning Sherwin. It has been recorded by various other artists, including Bing Cosby, Frank Sinatra, and more recently, Michael Bublé.
The discovery of V’s caller tune was unexpected, but the content was not. ARMYs immediately felt that this song was very fitting for the singer, and for some, it was also a painful reminder of his romantic personality.
