ASTRO’s Cha Eunwoo Feels Bittersweet About Their First Win For “After Midnight”—Here’s Why
ASTRO‘s Cha Eunwoo has graced the cover of Harper’s Bazaar and also participated in an accompanying interview where he discussed his career and their first win with “After Midnight.”
During his interview, Eunwoo mentioned his hard-working mindset and his tactic for picking himself up when he feels he’s in a slump. Eunwoo confessed that even though he has ways of building his confidence up again, he often goes back and forth between being driven and being lost.
I have big plans for work. But sometimes I feel lost. I feel like I’ve lost sight of where I’m trying to go. When that happens, I think about the future. I picture myself tackling those plans—one at a time. And I steer myself that way. Soon, I snap out of it and it’s like I’ve never doubted myself at all. This is why it’s incredibly important to have a strong mindset and self-control. I try to focus on my choices and work for better concentration. Anyway… yeah, I’d say I’m constantly switching between being super focused and super lost (haha).

It seems that Eunwoo knows when he needs to use a bit of mind control as ASTRO has been killing it with “After Midnight.” “After Midnight” has been doing so well that the group received their first music show win on public broadcasting with the hit!
In his interview, Eunwoo expressed the happiness he felt after their first win with “After Midnight” despite his more calm demeanor. Because he wanted to appear composed, Eunwoo shared he did not want to look too excited about their win.
I felt proud and bittersweet. It seemed like a promotional period filled with mixed feelings. It was good, but I didn’t want to show that I liked it. We finally won an award six years following our debut, so I wanted to look dignified. However, honestly, I was very happy on the inside.
