Netizens were initially excited when MBC‘s romantic comedy K-Drama A Good Day to be a Dog, starring ASTRO‘s Cha Eunwoo (also known as Cha Eun Woo) and actress Park Gyu Young (Celebrity, It’s Okay to Not Be Okay, Dali & Cocky Prince, and Sweet Home) as Jin Seo Won and Han Hae Na, respectively, premiered. It is adapted from the Naver Webtoon of the same name by Lee Hey, who also wrote the recently adapted See You in My 19th Life.

It tells the story of a woman who turns into a dog when she kisses, and a man who is the only cheat key to solve the curse but is afraid of dogs.

Now, streaming service Rakuten Viki has announced that A Good Day to be a Dog has been postponed. Today’s episode, Episode 4, is actually just a “special episode,” which covers highlights from the previous three episodes.

Naturally, viewers were disappointed but appreciative of Viki for putting together a special episode, knowing it was not the streaming service’s fault. Viki’s postponement is due to MBC.

The problem is that this is not its first postponement. Last week, A Good Day to be a Dog returned after a two-week hiatus due to the Korean Baseball Organization’s 2023 KBO semi-playoffs.

Viewers have already had frustrations. K-Drama watchers are used to sixteen episodes, and A Good Day to be a Dog only has 14 scheduled. Last week, they only released one episode too. Now, along with the endless postponements, fans feel cheated.

A Good Day to be a Dog has already suffered from surprisingly low ratings, and these postponements can’t help it either.
