ATEEZ’s Hongjoong Just Made Sure No One Will Ever Mention His Height Again
As a whole group, the members of ATEEZ are generally on the tall side. With an average height of 178cm (5’10”), their tallest member, Yunho, stands at 186cm (6’1″) and their second-tallest, Mingi, is barely shorter at 184cm (6’0.5″).
Because of their average tall height, their shortest member — leader Hongjoong — can seem a little short in comparison, even though he’s still 172cm (5’8″), which isn’t that short in general! But it has led to many jokes among ATINYs who adore their “short” captain, which Hongjoong usually seems to take in stride.
But a recent interaction between Hongjoong and some fans might just keep people from bringing it up again anytime soon!
During one of the send offs after one of ATEEZ’s concerts for their ongoing world tour, Towards the Light : Will to Power, a fan was recording Hongjoong from behind while the K-Pop idol was signing autographs for other fans.
Talking to herself or her friend, the fan starts to mention how she’s taller than Hongjoong. Before she can finish her sentence, however, the ATEEZ leader whips around with a playfully intimidating expression and asks how the concert was. The fan shrieks from surprise, and we can’t blame her!

The clip has gone viral on social media, with over 1.7 million views at this time with the number quickly rising!
