“Scary” ATEEZ Photocards Have Netizens Doing A Double-Take
K-Pop fans love to collect photocards, which often come with albums or are freebies at events. While they regularly consist of cute selfies of our biases, some are less desirable than others, usually due to odd styling choices, such as colored contacts. Now, ATEEZ photocards are garnering attention for unexpected reasons.
X (formerly Twitter) user @fixxon99 recently shared a photo of ATEEZ’s SOUNDWAVE POP-UP photocards. They captioned it, “THEY LOOK GOOOOOOOD,” admiring the photocards.

The post went viral with 1.2M views at the time of writing. Yet, the photocards had ATINYs doing a double-take, as the ATEEZ members’ eyes looked surprisingly creepy. They appeared all-black, and some even had what looked like double irises.

It gave the members a “possessed” appearance that ATINYs found disturbing. Many described it as “scary.”
Many suspected that the photos were overly edited by OP (Original Poster). Yet, there might be a greater reason behind it. When using one’s mobile phone, there are automatic photo-editing options, including a photo enhancer or the wand icon found in photo editing on X (formerly Twitter), that can automatically turn eyes in photos black. Sometimes, it’s an accident, but Korean sellers often do this to photos of their photocards to avoid others claiming the images as their own.
they’re using the auto edit to edit the photos. it somehow turns some of the eyes fully black 😅 pic.twitter.com/C0ofBhFaia

While it might look odd, it can be an added protectant from people attempting to scam.
