ATEEZ’s San Spills On How He Was Best Friends With TXT’s Yeonjun In High School
ATEEZ‘s Wooyoung is known to have the cutest friendship with TXT‘s Yeonjun, which began when they were trainees together during their high school days. Except, according to San, he was also just as close with Yeonjun back then, even before he became trainees with Wooyoung at KQ Entertainment!
Fans have gotten to see several adorable moments between Yeonjun and Wooyoung since they made their debut. The most recent of these was after ATEEZ’s “GUERILLA” performance on Music Bank, where Yeonjun is an MC. Fans couldn’t stop laughing when Yeonjun was seemingly “caught simping” over Wooyoung’s ending fairy pose.

Together with Stray Kids‘ Changbin, they are the cutest trio of friends, even affectionately calling each other ‘darling.’ It’s not often that fans get to see them together, but that hasn’t stopped them from continuously proving their friendship, even if it’s just by dropping cute comments on each other’s live streams.
Still, one friendship we have seen even less of is San and Yeonjun’s, which is surprising considering that the two of them were true besties in high school!
In a recent message on the UNIVERSE platform, San claimed that back then he would often go out during lunchtime with Yeonjun. The two of them loved getting kimchi stew together.

They attended the Korean Arts High School together, meaning that San was likely friends with Yeonjun before ever meeting Wooyoung and Yeosang.

In fact, they were so close that the majority of San’s pictures from those days were actually taken with Yeonjun! In a fan call in 2021, San claimed that the reason why he couldn’t post more pictures of his high school days is that he would have to ask Yeonjun for permission, seeing as he was in most of them.
Given that Yeonjun was best friends with both Wooyoung and San at the same time, and that Wooyoung and San went on to debut together later on, fans can’t help but feel like this was all just meant to be. In fact, Yeonjun befriended both Wooyoung and Yeosang as a trainee at BigHit Entertainment, but it was his high school friend San who ended up debuting with them!

Now that they’re all seeing major success in their respective groups while still remaining close friends, perhaps it really was destiny that led them this way!
It is always going to be difficult for them to hang out together due to their busy schedules, but hopefully, we’ll see more of these wholesome friendships in the future.
