A viral video of ATEEZ‘s Wooyoung has sparked divided reactions amid declining to do BLACKPINK Jennie‘s “like JENNIE” challenge, with many fans defending the idol.
Wooyoung recently declined a fan’s request to do BLACKPINK Jennie’s “like JENNIE” challenge, and it was hinted that it happened due to the group’s conflict with Vata, the choreographer who created the “Like Jennie” dance.
Amid the controversy with Vata and ATEEZ reigniting, a video went viral showing Wooyoung making the “biting” move, “a sign that dancers often use to signal that a move was copied and also his extra passion when doing the “Say My Name” move.
Netizens criticized Wooyoung, with some saying it has been going on for too long and even calling the idol “Immature.”
Yet many netizens defended the idol, explaining that plagiarism in choreography is as serious as any other kind and that even though it has been a while, the fact that Vata hasn’t addressed it properly means that ATEEZ and ATINYs are still allowed to be angry.
