Netizens React To BABYMONSTER’s First Post-Debut OT7 Picture

Most seem underwhelmed.

Though BABYMONSTER technically already debuted with “Batter Up” in November 2023, now that Ahyeon is going to join the line-up for their next comeback, it feels like the group is debuting all over again.

And YG Entertainment has certainly been trying to build hype for their next release, which is going to be their first mini-album called BABYMONS7ER released on April 1. They’ve been sharing individual teasers of each of the members for the last couple of days, including the highly anticipated Ahyeon.

They also recently shared the first post-debut “OT7” picture of the group with all seven members included, which was apparently a promotional picture for the members to appear at the 2024 Summer Sonic event this August.

When this first picture was released, though, the overall reaction from many fans was underwhelming. It seems that netizens aren’t feeling as much hype and excitement for the full line-up as many were expecting, and a lot of people are disappointed in the lack of creativity around their promotions and concept.

It also seems like the promotional picture wasn’t meant to be shared when it was. The same photo was uploaded once again on the group’s social media as promotions for their first mini-album, rather than a new picture of the seven members.

Reactions from fans in this situation are similar to the first time, plus many are confused why the same picture is being used in both instances.

Are you excited for the first comeback with all seven of BABYMONSTER’s members?
