Bang Si Hyuk Faces Intense Backlash Over Latest Post About Scooter Braun
HYBE founder Bang Si Hyuk is facing criticism from fans for his latest post about Scooter Braun.
Braun recently announced his retirement from artist management to focus solely on his roles as a CEO of HYBE America and a board member of HYBE. The announcement was met with mixed reactions, with Western artists’ fans welcoming his departure while HYBE fans were displeased with his increased involvement. Apart from his deep ties with the Israeli government and repeated public endorsement of problematic actions committed by it, fans were also angered by his disrespect for HYBE artists like TXT and SEVENTEEN in his post. Many were also cross that he seemingly took undeserving credit for BTS Jungkook‘s achievements in the post as well.

Amidst these heated reactions, Bang Si Hyuk reposted Braun’s picture with many of his old acquaintances, including a much younger Justin Bieber, on his Instagram story, with a caption saying, “To our future.”
Despite the fans’ continued efforts to communicate their demands to HYBE to distance itself from the HYBE America CEO, Bang’s uninterrupted support of Braun has ticked off fans even more. They took it as his definite endorsement of Braun’s views and his complete disregard of fan sentiment, including the concern for HYBE artists’ well-being, given the American music mogul’s tainted track record.
