Bang Si Hyuk’s Latest “Girl Group” Sparks Disgust Over Alleged Creepy Obsession With aespa’s Karina
Netizens are not happy with HYBE for allegedly being obsessed with aespa‘s Karina.
On June 27, it was reported that HYBE was releasing a virtual girl group named SYNDI8.
Controversy struck, however, when it was revealed that one of the members were named CANARY. The controversy is due to the fact that in Korean, CANARY (카나리) is similar to Karina (카리나), in fact the names are spelled with identical Hangeul characters.
The similarities do not end there, as the character’s MBTI and height are both identical to Karina’s.

The character has an almost identical name to a group member, Bang Si Hyuk, who tried to step on. In fact, they have the same MBTI and height. At this point, it makes me wonder whether Bang Si Hyuk is in love with Karina.

Netizens reacted to the news with disgust and criticized Bang Si Hyuk for his disturbing obsession with Karina.
