B.A.P.’s Youngjae Confirmed To Star In Upcoming K-Drama, “Police Academy”
Former B.A.P.’s Youngjae has officially joined the cast of KBS 2TV’s upcoming series Police Academy (working title)!
On March 18, his agency, JWorld Entertainment, announced, “Yoo Young Jae was recently confirmed to be appearing in ‘Police Academy.’ He will be playing the role of Jo Joon Wook.”
Police Academy will be about young people chasing their dreams and finding love at a police academy. In particular, the main character is 19-year-old Kang Sun Ho, who grows with the help of professor Yoo Dong Man and the friends he meets at the academy. Youngjae will be taking on the role of Jo Joon Wook, a cute and cheerful freshman who has returned to South Korea after studying abroad.
Currently, Youngjae is dazzling his fans in his role of Kim Hwan in the hit K-Drama Mr. Queen. Although he is relatively new to acting, he is truly making a name for himself in the industry.
Former B1A4’s Jinyoung, f(x)’s Krystal, Cha Tae Hyun, and Lee Jong Hyuk are in talks to appear in the series as well.
Police Academy is expected to premiere in the second half of 2021.
