“I Was Very Hurt”: Beomhan Confesses He Was Shocked By FM Entertainment’s Statement Regarding His Contract Termination
FM Entertainment shocked netizens with an “aggressive” statement, terminating trainee and pre-debut member of M.O.N.T Arena Beomhan‘s contract. He, too, was shocked.
On September 6, FM Entertainment posted a Korean and English statement announcing that Beomhan’s contract had been terminated. According to the company, they made a mutual decision, but he allegedly spread misinformation.
Shortly after, Beomhan shared an update via Instagram. He thanked fans for their support and reassured them that his plans personally had not changed.
Thank you guys for your continuous support this whole time. I’m sure we’re all feeling the same emotions of confusion and frustration. Please continue to support me and my activities in the future. Our goal hasn’t change. I love you guys so much~ Tiger Cubs Forever.

Now, Beomhan has updated fans, revealing his honest feelings about the situation in a live broadcast.
Beomhan held a TikTok Live the next day, cooking kimchi fried rice and interacting with fans. He touched on his contract termination as well for a few minutes.
So, first of all, I wanna say right now that I’m not here to fight, I’m not here to argue, right?

Beomhan revealed that he and FM Entertainment had been discussing for about a month. They agreed to terminate the contract and discussed the contents of the announcement.
Um, we agreed to terminate the contract peacefully, and we talked about the contents of the announcement and everything. And this was like … I’ve been talking about this for, like, a month, right?

Yet, when the announcement was released, Beomhan was shocked and hurt. He implied that FM Entertainment had changed the statement from what they previously discussed.
Yesterday or today for you guys, I was very shocked… And I was very hurt, to be honest, and it was this huge wave of emotions that I didn’t know how to deal with, to be honest.

It caused Beomhan to question whether he had indeed done something wrong. He couldn’t even sleep as he thought about it.
And I sat there like, ‘Is it me? Am I the problem?’ And I was outside, and I took some breaks, and I walked around, and I didn’t sleep tonight. I was thinking about this all night. And then I kept getting calls from … friends I haven’t talked to from like five, six years ago, calling me and being like, ‘Yo, man, hey, man, keep your head up, dude!’ …I’m like, ‘I feel like I did something wrong. What did I do?’

Beomhan did not specify the difference in statements from what was discussed to what was released. He did reveal that he felt so awful after its release that he cried.
Like, we talked about everything. …Everything was talked about. And I’m not gonna say the specifics, even though I know you’re not watching. But, yeah, I felt weird, I felt awful, and then I was in there crying. I was like, ‘What’s going on?’ Reverting to bad habits, all this stuff.

But Beomhan then shared a personal story about how he was initially going to end his contract three years ago, but he hesitated because he feared that his fans would not care about his content anymore if he did. His cousin encouraged him by giving a parallel to the Marvel character Iron Man.
And one thing that my cousin said to me a couple years ago during COVID, when I was going through a hard time … I was close to terminating the contract like three years ago before I released ‘Sun’s Up.’ That’s just a personal story, right? And then I was like, ‘Oh, but, like, I still wanna grow my brand, and, like, I don’t know if I’m not gonna be like a K-Pop trainee or whatever, like will people still like my stuff?’ And my cousin told me one thing, and he was like, ‘Hey, man. You ever watched the Avengers?’ And I’m like, ‘Wait, what?’ And he’s like, ‘You know that scene where the guy goes up to Iron Man, and he’s like, ‘If you’re nothing without the suit, you don’t deserve the suit.’ And I was like, ‘You’re right… If I’m nothing without the suit, then I don’t deserve the suit.’

Beomhan also clarified his social media. Although he is no longer with FM Entertainment, his handles will still be @beomhanfm.

Later, during the live broadcast, Beomhan totally returned to his “unserious” nature, claiming that the reason for the contract termination was a scandal in which he got pregnant.
