BIBI Goes Viral For Her Humble Reaction To Winning At The 2024 Baeksang Arts Awards

The 2024 Baeksang Arts Awards (also known as the annual 60th Baeksang Arts Awards) was held on May 7 at COEX Hall D in Seoul, with Park Bo Gum, Suzy, and Shin Dong Yup returning as the hosts. Korean films, television, and theatre were awarded for their excellence. In attendance was soloist and actress BIBI (also known as Kim Hyung Seo).

BIBI was nominated “Best New Actress (Film)” for her role in Hopeless. Directed by Kim Chang Hoon, Hopeless is a noir thriller film about a young man named Yeon Gyu (played by Hong Xa Bin) who wishes to escape a hellish reality and meets Chi Geon (played by Song Joong Ki), a mid-level boss of a criminal organization. Together, they face a precarious world.

While BIBI was awarded “Best New Actress,” she previously garnered attention for her role in K-Drama The Worst of Evil alongside Ji Chang Wook.

Now, she is receiving recognition for her role in Hopeless. Although anyone who watched knew she was well-dserving, BIBI appeared genuinely surprised by hearing her name announced. She is so humble!
