BIGBANG’s Taeyang Addresses Rumors That “Still Life” Is BIGBANG’s Last Album
One of K-Pop’s legends, BIGBANG‘s Taeyang, made an epic comeback to the music industry with his first single in five years titled “Vibe,” which featured BTS‘s Jimin. The song was also the artist’s first release under his new record company, The Black Label.
Taeyang also made an earnest effort to catch up with his fans by participating in 1theK Originals‘ YouTube web series Look Me Up. He took to the internet to update and verify information about himself and his group.
While taking a stroll down memory lane, Taeyang spotted a comment referring to BIGBANG’s 2022 single “Still Life” that said, “I’m really scared that this might be their last album.” Although the interview was supposed to promote “Vibe,” the singer took a moment to address his fan’s fear.
Taeyang explained that “Still Life” was initially supposed to be a part of his solo album, but producer Teddy Park suggested BIGBANG should sing it instead, saying that the song’s message was more appropriate for the group. BIGBANG then worked on “Still Life” as a team to convey feelings of comfort to their fans.
When asked, “When will BIGBANG make a comeback?” Taeyang took a deep breath and confidently said that someday the group would return with good music. In the background, the production staff referenced the lyrics of “Still Life,” saying, “Spring will come again, right?”
Everyone wants it. I’m one of the people who want it the most. Even right now, although I’m here, seeing and talking to the fans, at Look Me Up as a solo artist, a part of me feels a bit of sadness. I wish that all the members were here with me together to see the fans. Even as I’m filming this show now, a part of me feels hoping that the members and I can do a lot together in the future.
