BIGBANG’s T.O.P Is Allegedly Preparing To Go To Space (Literally) In 2023
Given BIGBANG‘s name — often confused for the “Big Bang” event theorized to have been the start of the universe — it’s no surprise that the K-Pop group has been connected to space-like themes for the duration of their career.
They haven’t really done any space-themed concepts — apart from the occasional astronaut suit worn by T.O.P in music videos — but it seems that BIGBANG’s relation to the stars could actually be realized come next year.
According to an exclusive media outlet report released on December 6, T.O.P himself could be preparing to go to outer space in 2023!
The report shares that the K-Pop idol will accompany Japanese billionaire and entrepreneur Yusaku Maezawa for part of his #dearMoon project, which is a mission led in partnership with Elon Musk that aims to send 8 participants for the first ever civilian mission to the Moon next year.
First announced in 2018, the project is said to have its participants selected based on talented and influential people across the globe that could positively contribute to the human race.
This is the #DearMoon project details…wow it’s a week long journey to the moon and back!

Further evidence that T.O.P could be one of these participants is that he, alongside actor Lee Byung Hun, were seen in a photo posted on Maezawa’s SNS back in September.

Earlier today, the Japanese entrepreneur also shared a tweet stating that he has a “major announcement” regarding “space” that will be shared on December 8.
Online meeting with Elon @elonmusk is done. I can make a major announcement about space around the noon of December 8, PST. It’s another new announcement on the anniversary of exactly one year since the day I went to ISS last year.

Could this be an announcement of who was chosen to participate in the #dearMoon project? We’ll have to wait and find out!
