BIGBANG’s T.O.P Says He Officially Left The Group, Will Release Solo Album
BIGBANG‘s T.O.P says he is no longer a member of the group.
In early 2022, T.O.P announced that he would leave YG Entertainment after more than fifteen years under the label. A statement from the company said that while he left the label, he would participate in the group’s upcoming comeback.
BIGBANG will be releasing a new song this spring.
We have finished the recording of the song and are about to film the music video.
We have also respected T.O.P’s opinion that he wanted to expand his personal activities aside from his promotions with BIGBANG, and he also discussed it with the other members, who understood.
If the conditions are right, T.O.P will always be able to participate in BIGBANG’s promotions.

The group released their first comeback track in four years, “Still Life,” and topped the charts with the release.
Following the release of the song, T.O.P shared a message that led fans to believe that a group comeback would be in the distant future. He thanked the YG Entertainment staff and discussed a “turning point” in his life.
Now the artist has shared that this message was actually his way of withdrawing from the group.
On his Instagram account, the artist shared a post of himself playing on a keyboard, letting fans know that he was “still making albums” in the second slide.
A fan commented on this post asking T.O.P if he had left the group, and the artist replied by saying that he has “already withdrawn.”
“I’ve already told you guys that I’m leaving and now facing a new chapter in my life since last year.”

When a fan asked if he was returning, he replied, “SOLO.”
Prior to these responses, T.O.P shared announcements of his comeback on his story. On the ones that mentioned him as a member of BIGBANG, the artist crossed out the “BIGBANG” part of the title.
He also reposted a translation of an article that stated he had left BIGBANG.
None of the other members of BIGBANG have yet commented on T.O.P’s announcement.
