On October 13 KST, the girl group’s debut song, “BOOMBAYAH”, reached the incredibly impressive 1 billion views mark on YouTube!
The song was originally released on August 8, 2016 at 8 PM KST, and it reached 1 billion views at 8:25 AM KST today, which means it took about 4 years, 2 months, 4 days, and 12 hours to hit this milestone.
This makes “BOOMBAYAH” the first ever K-Pop debut song to reach 1 billion views, and is also BLACKPINK’s third song to have reached this mark, after “DDU-DU DDU-DU” and “Kill This Love”.
