BLACKPINK Were Invited To Headline “Coachella 2023” In The Most Impressive Way
BLACKPINK made history as the first K-Pop group to headline the iconic music festival Coachella on April 15.
The group left netizens in awe of their powerful and dynamic performances…
And stunning visuals, earning them many new fans.
As BLACKPINK effortlessly proved that they could exceed expectations with their astounding stages, fans weren’t too surprised that they were asked to headline the music festival. But what did surprise fans was seeing that one of the co-founders of Coachella, Paul Tollett, attended one of their concerts and directly asked the members himself to headline the festival.
Paul Tollett: Tonight’s show was really great. There’s something I want to tell you. We want you to headline Coachella.
In one of BLACKPINK’s behind-the-scenes videos from the BORN PINK world tour, fans were excited to see that at their tour stop in Paris, Paul Tollett went backstage to directly tell the members he wanted them to headline Coachella after seeing their impressive tour.
Paul Tollett: You’re just bigger and better than anyone.
Rosé: Can you please film [Jennie’s] reactions?
Paul Tollett: It’s so logical.
Rosé and Jisoo couldn’t get enough of Jennie‘s reaction as she heard the news for the first time while on camera.
And Lisa admitted that the opportunity to headline Coachella was “such a dream come true.”
Fans couldn’t be more proud of BLACKPINK’s immense success, glad that the passionate group is well-recognized for their talent and impact.
