This will be BLACKPINK’s first performance at the VMAs, and what makes it more exciting is that they will be performing their comeback single “Pink Venom” there live for the first time.
Teasers for the “Pink Venom” MV have already been released, and BLINKs are understandably excited for their comeback. The latest teaser gives a glimpse of another visually arresting MV, a signature of BLACKPINK MVs.
BLACKPINK joins the likes of J Balvin, Anitta, Marshmello x Khalid, Panic! at the Disco, Lizzo, Jack Harlow, and Maneskin, who have likewise been confirmed to perform at the VMAs.
The group was the first K-Pop girl group to win a VMA for the “Song of the Summer” category in 2020 with their hit song “How You Like That.”
The girl group is nominated this year for the “Best Metaverse Performance” category, for their PUBG Mobile Collaboration.
Member Lisa is also nominated as a solo artist for “Best K-Pop” with her debut song “LALISA.”
Netizens are equally excited to see them perform and root for them to win.
BLACKPINK is the first female K-Pop group to perform VMAs.
