Despite Their 2-Year Hiatus, BLACKPINK Just Broke A Huge Record On Spotify
Though there have been announcements that BLACKPINK will be making their long-overdue comeback this summer, there’s no official date yet. And without an official date, fans of the group will sadly remain skeptical about any new releases from the girl group.
After all, it has been nearly 2 years since the YG Entertainment artist had their last comeback with The Album in October 2020, making this their longest hiatus after a series of already long hiatuses previously.
Despite this, however, love for BLACKPINK is still going strong! And thanks to the love and support from BLINKs, the girl group continues to break records and reach new heights in the music industry even during this long wait.
With around 30.1 million followers on Spotify, BLACKPINK is the 363rd most-followed artist on the platform. And thanks to them and the 13.4 million monthly listeners they currently have, BLACKPINK and their fans have surpassed 7 billion streams on the music-streaming platform!
With this, they’ve become the only K-Pop girl group to surpass 7 billion streams on the app, and also the fastest girl group worldwide to reach such a high number.
