Jennie recently released new concept photos for her upcoming single “Mantra.” It showcased her posed on what appears to be a vehicle with her wavy hair blowing in the wind.

The photo went viral across X (formerly Twitter), and while fans were excited about the new release, some netizens reacted negatively. Many thought the picture was unflattering of Jennie. Some blamed the angle, while others declared her stomach should have been “edited.”

Unfortunately, Jennie became a victim of body-shaming, as netizens declared she appeared “bloated” and even “pregnant.” Some went so far as to slutshame her, too.

Jennie’s fans were disgusted by the rude hate comments left on her photo. They questioned the unrealistic standards of women’s bodies, as Jennie looked not just normal but beautiful. There’s nothing wrong with the picture.

Some fans also praised Jennie for posting the photo, knowing she’s confident in her body. It only made fans respect Jennie more.

Jennie’s “Mantra” will be released on October 10 at 8 PM EDT.
