BLACKPINK’s Jennie “Calls Out” BLINKs For Using Their Phones Too Much During The “BORN PINK” Dallas Show
Since debuting in 2016, BLACKPINK‘s Jennie has been known for never being afraid to speak her mind. Although it has meant the idol has been called “cold” and “distant,” Jennie actually cares for fans and wants them to enjoy themselves.
Recently, the idol gained attention at their BORN PINK Dallas show for being truly iconic when calling out fans… all for their own good.
BLACKPINK recently traveled to America to start the US portion of their BORN PINK tour.
As expected, the members all shined and BLINKs attending made sure to share moments on social media from the soundcheck, the show, and meeting the idols.

As much as BLINKs appreciated the fans recording the show on their phones, it seems like Jennie wanted something else from those attending.
At one point, the members were chatting with fans. During that time, a fan caught Jennie as she called out fans because she couldn’t see their faces.
It would be really great if I could see everyone’s faces instead of their phones…
— Jennie
If that wasn’t enough, she didn’t just call them out but shared that the group had traveled to see them. What was funnier is that she knew fans wanted to keep memories but added that if they didn’t record it, there were other ways to see the group.
We came all the way to Dallas to see you guys, and if you don’t upload it, I’m sure someone else will. And, if not, there are our music videos.
— Jennie
When the video was shared, netizens loved how iconic Jennie was. The idol seems to value living in the moment and he wanted to see BLINKs doing the same, especially as they didn’t go to America that often.
Yet, it isn’t the first time Jennie has called out fans for being on their phone. During the first shows in Seoul, making her way closer to the crowds, Jennie was jumping along with the rest of the members and having the best time possible.
Yet, at one point, Jennie seemingly noticed something in the crowd and walked up to the fan.
The BLINK must’ve been so focused on filming that the idol called them out for not jumping along with the members and fans. Of course, despite the need to get good footage, you can’t say no to Jennie, and the BLINK behind the camera suddenly started jumping along as the camera became unstable.
Of course, it’s always nice to capture special moments, but it is also nice to live in the moment. As much as BLACKPINK loves performing, they would definitely prefer to do it for fans rather than phones.
