It seems like BLACKPINK Jennie‘s conversation with Usher at a recent Chanel event might hint at the idol’s future in music, especially amidst conversations about the group’s renewal with YG Entertainment.
It was recently announced that Jennie would be releasing a special single with her song “You & Me.”

The idol performed the song on the recent BORN PINK shows and captured the hearts of the audience with her stage.
Well, it seems like it might not be the only surprise on the horizon.
Amidst the new single and contract renewal, Jennie’s seemingly already got plans ready for the future. In particular, the idol seemingly revealed them during the recent Chanel fashion show in Paris that she attended on October 3.
As expected, the idol looked stunning and wowed netizens with her visuals and behavior during the show, cementing her “Main Event” status.
During the show, she was spotted interacting with the stars, including global superstar Usher.
A new clip of their conversation has fans excited for Jennie’s future. In a video gaining attention, Usher was chatting to Jennie and talking about a future album and pointed out that he would love to work on a collaboration with the idol.
While it’s not uncommon for stars to want to collaborate with idols, it was Jennie’s response that had fans excited. The idol responded, “Right now, I’ve started working on an…” and while she didn’t explicitly mention the album, many thought it made sense considering what Usher had said before.
When the video was posted, netizens rightly thought Jennie was hinting at future projects and loved the idea that Usher wanted to work with the idol.
