BLACKPINK Jennie‘s recent Instagram post has BLINKs feeling regretful about her role in the recent series The Idol.

While Jennie has been busy with her idol activities, she has been a hot topic the past few months after her role as Dyanne in the controversial HBO series The Idol. Although her role wasn’t huge, the idol shined in the small number of scenes she had, with her dancing, presence, and facial expressions.

 

 

 

On July 13, Jennie shared some photos from her time while filming The Idol. In the photos, Jennie posted snaps of her beautiful makeup, the set, and even a cute picture of her “sexy” outfit, where she self-censored herself in the cutest way.

In all the photos, Jennie seemed to be having the best time and showcased the different parts of starring in such a huge production.

Yet, while netizens loved seeing Jennie’s shots from the filming, it also made many feel regretful about her role. While the photos showed so much of Dyanne that fans hadn’t seen, like the small details in her looks, one photo showcased the expectations versus the reality of her role.

In one of the photos, Jennie is looking through her script, and netizens noticed how it was only a few pages long. It shadowed their sadness that although Jennie was billed as a main star and was used for “clout,” the idol didn’t really have much of a role.

When the photos were posted online, netizens shared their thoughts on Jennie’s role. While many tried to make jokes about the small script, it was seemingly due to their disappointment that Jennie’s debut acting role didn’t meet expectations, with her lack of screen time and controversies.

As Jennie’s role was left on a cliffhanger, there’s no confirmation if netizens will ever see more of Dyanne. Yet, it seems to be like netizens were disappointed with how Jennie’s casting and role were handled, but many are relieved she wasn’t involved in the controversies.
