BLACKPINK’s Jennie Makes History On Billboard Hot 100

BLACKPINK member Jennie has added another feather to the crown of her impressive achievements with her solo album Ruby.

According to the chart data released by Billboard on March 19, KST (for the week ending March 22), Ruby debuted at No.7 on the Billboard 200 chart. The album’s title track, “Like JENNIE,” entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart at No.83!

As impressive as these two charting achievements were, Jennie didn’t just stop at that. Two other songs from her album, “Handlebars” and “ExtraL,” are also charting this week on the Hot 100, with the former debuting at No. 80 and the latter re-entering at No. 99.
With these songs, Jennie has become the first-ever K-Pop female soloist to have three songs chart simultaneously on Billboard Hot 100. Notably, Ruby has made a total of five songs on this chart, including “Mantra” and “Love Hangover.”
These five songs, added with “One of the Girls,” the song on which The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp collaborated with Jennie, also give her the record for the most songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart by a K-Pop female soloist!
Despite being her first full-length solo album and the first record Jennie has worked on under her own label, ODD Atelier, Ruby has proven Jennie’s dedication to her craft and her influence as a soloist. She recently broke another record as a K-Pop soloist with this album. Read more about it here:
