BLACKPINK‘s Jennie‘s latest song “Mantra” was banned.
On October 23, it was reported that KBS banned the idol’s hit song. The reason for the ban was reportedly due to the song naming a specific brand.
According to reports, the ban means that “Mantra” would be essentially blacklisted from KBS and its shows. Jennie may submit a censored version of the song to reverse the ban.
This isn’t the first time KBS banned Jennie’s song. Previously, it was reported that the group’s song “Pink Venom” was also banned due to naming a specific brand. The censorship is due to Korean law that forbids excessive advertising in media.
