BLACKPINK’s Jennie Rumored To Make Her Marvel Debut In Future MCU Project
On June 8, Dispatch shared that rumors about BLACKPINK Jennie‘s future acting roles were circulating.
According to Dispatch, these rumors claimed that Jennie would be making her Marvel debut as a member of the Asian superhero team, The Agents of Atlas.
She will reportedly play the character of Seol Hee, known as Luna Snow, a K-Pop star that uses her ice-based superpowers to protect people worldwide.
Since last year, it has been rumored that The Agents Of Atlas would get their own Marvel Cinematic Universe (also known as the MCU) series, much like WandaVision or Loki. The fictional director of the team, Jimmy Woo, played by actor Randall Park, has already been introduced as a character in several other projects.
There is also talk of the Agents of Atlas being involved in future projects featuring the Asian hero Shang Chi, played by Simu Liu, who is a fan of BLACKPINK.
This would not be the first time an idol has played Luna Snow’s character — in 2020, f(x)‘s Luna was announced to provide Luna’s singing voice for the video game Marvel Super War, releasing a track titled “Flow.”
There has been no confirmation from Jennie or Marvel Studios regarding these rumors. Jennie is currently appearing in The Idol, her first Hollywood acting role.
