Host Addresses Claims That BLACKPINK’s Jennie Was Ignored At Event
MC Lee Jeong Hoon, the host accused of ignoring Jennie at a recent BLACKPINK event, has explained his side of the story.
On January 14, BLACKPINK attended #AWESOMELIVE, a live-streamed fan event for Samsung Indonesia. #AWESOMELIVE came less than a week after Samsung released the CF campaign for the “Galaxy A”, featuring their global endorsement models, BLACKPINK.
Many outraged fans called for a boycott of Samsung Indonesia products and trended #JennieDeservesBetter, following the event. These fans claim that Jennie was needlessly exposed to anti-fan comments and neglected by the host.
I don’t stan but wow those hosts are terrible to make her read those comments and then ignore her, that’s pure disrespect #JennieDeservesBetter

Samsung lied to us about Jennie birthday project and didn’t allow a Jensoo fanbase holding a birthday celebration for her. Further, the MC purposely excluded her from the interview. Furthermore, her anti won that contest. Are you joking me???? #JennieDeservesBetter

He said that the event’s organizers, who prepared his material, told him not to ask the members too many questions. “I hope you will understand the conditions of all of us who are in your summon or backstage,” he wrote.
