BLACKPINK Launch Face Masks As Part Of A COVID-19 Prevention Project To Aid Charities
BLACKPINK joined artists like Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, and The Weeknd in launching face masks to help stop the spread of COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) while also raising money for charity.
On April 24, Universal Music Group (UMG) officially announced that they were launching a collection of face masks with many artists including BLACKPINK as part of their COVID-19 response efforts.
These masks — launched through Bravado, a music trading company under UMG — are reusable and washable face masks that are printed with the different artists’ logos. BLACKPINK’s mask features the girl group’s unmistakable logo printed in pink on a black mask.
All proceeds are going to various charities including MusiCares, an organization for people in the music industry who need help. Additionally, 50,000 of the face masks have already been donated to various local organizations across the U.S. under the name “We’ve Got You Covered.”
