Could BLACKPINK‘s Lisa be the influence for a character in a top Netflix series?

One of the top shows on Netflix is Emily In Paris. Netizens have recently noticed similarities between the character of Mindy (played by Ashley Park) and Lisa.

In the show, Mindy is dating Nicolas, who is the heir to a luxury goods company called JVMA.

While it’s a common storyline, netizens thought it was similar to Lisa because the idol is rumored to be dating Frédéric Arnault, who is the heir to the world-renowned luxury goods conglomerate LVMH.

While many could say the relationship similarities were just a coincidence, fans found it less of an accident after another similarity to Lisa. In particular, in one of the episodes, the character of Mindy performs at the Crazy Horse venue in Paris.

While it’s extremely popular, it obviously gained attention in K-Pop after Lisa did some special shows at the venue in 2023, which caused a lot of controversy because of the venue’s reputation for shows renowned for its burlesque performances.

After the episodes were aired, netizens shared the similarities and how many were confused if it was coincidence or purposefully mimicking Lisa’s life.
