What Differentiates BLACKPINK As A Group? Rosé Weighs In
BLACKPINK has become one of the most successful K-Pop girl groups of all time, making music history as a group, but also as solo acts. Record-breaker Rosé recently chatted about what makes BLACKPINK unique, and more, on Hot Ones.
Hot Ones is a popular YouTube show by First We Feast that invites celebrity guests to eat increasingly spicy food while answering interview questions. Ed Sheeran, Shaq (also known as Shaquille O’Neal), Paul Rudd, Billie Eilish, and Elizabeth Olsen are just some of the many stars who have put their tastebuds to the test.
During her interview, Rosé was asked, “From your perspective, is there an underappreciated element of what makes a music group click? When we had NSYNC on the show, they talked about one of the things that helped them gel early on is that they had a naturally very complimentary vocal range.”
Rosé’s answer was both humble and heartwarming. “BLACKPINK, all four of us,” she said. “like the one thing that hopefully differentiates us as a whole group to others, or maybe not even differentiates but is so strong about BLACKPINK, is the fact that each one of us, we want such big things for ourselves and we work so hard every day…”
“I’ve never seen someone that’s, like, I just want to, like, rest,” she went on. “Like, even if we’ve said that before, I don’t think anyone means that. BLACKPINK is, like, really hardworking.”
