BLACKPINK's Rosé Is The Main Event At The 76th Cannes Film Festival Premiere Of "Strange Way Of Life"

The BLACKPINK members have had a busy week, and BLINKs have eagerly been awaiting the Cannes Film Festival debut of members Rosé and Jennie.

On May 11, YG Entertainment officially confirmed that BLACKPINK’s Jennie would be attending the 76th Cannes Film Festival for her role in the upcoming HBO show The Idol, which will also be her acting debut.

She will attend the Cannes Film Festival on May 22 through her role in the drama series, ‘The Idol.’ The show was listed in the non-competition section of the film festival.

Shortly after reports of Jennie’s attendance circulated, it was also speculated that Rosé would be attending as a global ambassador for the luxury designer brand Saint Laurent.

Her attendance was confirmed when she posted a bouquet of roses with a handwritten letter welcoming her to Cannes from Saint Laurent’s creative director Anthony Vaccarello.

Rosé is attending the premiere of Pedro Almodóvar’s short film Strange Way Of Life, starring Ethan Hawke and Pedro Pascal. The film marks the debut of Saint Laurent Productions, a subsidiary of Saint Laurent.

To support the film, the Saint Laurent team attended the premiere of the film, and the creative director, Anthony Vaccarello, arrived arm-in-arm with BLACKPINK’s Rosé.

Anthony Vaccarello designed all of the costumes used in the film, and seeing as he spearheaded the launch of Saint Laurent Productions as a way to “work with and provide a space for all the great film talents who have inspired [him] over the years” netizens couldn’t help but notice how meaningful it was to have Rosé by his side for the film’s debut.

Rosé quickly became the main event as she began trending on social media for her appearance at the famed film festival.

BLINKs are eager to see if she’ll also walk the red carpet but love the trendy and casual style she was spotted in for the premiere.

BLACKPINK’s Rosé isn’t the only member who recently took over an event with her stunning visuals and star power. Lisa was also the main event when she attended BVLGARI’s Mediterranea Event in Italy.
