BLACKPINK’s Rosé Is Officially The New Muse For YSL Beauty
According to a new teaser video from VOGUE Korea, BLACKPINK’s Rosé has been selected as the new muse of YSL Beauty!
Back in June this year, Rosé was selected as the new global ambassador for Yves Saint Laurent fashion. Working exclusively with a luxury fashion house is a big enough achievement in itself, but the most impressive part of Rosé’s new deal is that she’s the brand’s first ever global ambassador since it was founded 59 years ago.
Within hours, she racked up hundreds of thousands of views on her first Yves Saint Laurent campaign video. Then, a month later, shopping data from iPrice Group revealed that interest in the brand rose by over 1,000% in some Southeast Asian countries after Rosé’s campaign launch. Given how successful she’s been in her first six months as global ambassador, it’s no surprise that Yves Saint Laurent wants to work with her more.
Though the official announcement won’t come until early next year, VOGUE Korea uploaded a teaser today confirming that Rosé is the new muse for YSL Beauty! YSL Beauty is the Yves Saint Laurent division which houses makeup, perfume, skincare, cosmetics, and more!
VOGUE Korea only shared a quick silhouette, but Rosé’s beauty shines through even in minimal lighting. For those still straining to see, here’s a brightened up screencap from the teaser video.
Some dedicated fans already had an inkling that the announcement was coming after Rosé tagged YSL Beauty in an Instagram post last month, spilling that BLINKs had something to look forward to in the caption.Plus, a few weeks ago, the Global Beauty Director for YSL Beauty and the official YSL Beauty account both liked a photo of Rosé on Anthony Vaccarello’s Instagram account.

YSL Beauty won’t officially reveal Rosé’s new campaign until January 4, 2021, but fans are already excited about what to expect. After watching a YSL Beauty perfume advertisement from British singer Dua Lipa (who collaborated with BLACKPINK on “Kiss and Make Up”), one fan thinks Rosé’s campaign could even coincide with her solo debut.
this is dua lipa’s ysl beauty campaign so imagine rosé filming this and then we hear a snippet of her solo as bgm and then the next day the RS1 announcement drops??? god bless pic.twitter.com/u03pgCUU7M

Others are hoping that her new role as the brand’s muse will see her release her own makeup palettes, lipsticks, fragrances, and more.

Whatever the case, BLINKs are so proud of Rosé, who started off as an Yves Saint Laurent fan and became one of the brand’s biggest assets. She joins groupmates Lisa (the ambassador of MACCosmetics), Jisoo (the ambassador of Dior Beauty), and Jennie (the ambassador of Hera) as one of the biggest new names in luxury cosmetics.
