BLACKPINK Rosé’s Recent Announcement Sparks Speculations About Her Future With YG Entertainment

Until YG release a statement, rumors will continue to circulate.

One of the hottest topics right now is BLACKPINK‘s contracts with YG Entertainment.

The members’ contracts were due to end in the summer, but the company has yet to announce the group’s future with them. It means that everything and anything the members do has sparked rumors.

On November 3, Rosé treated fans to an unexpected announcement, and it all included her adorable dog, Hank.

It was announced that Rosé and Hank would be releasing a “Season’s Greetings.”

Of course, this was surprising to fans as BLACKPINK has only ever released one season’s greetings, and it was in 2021.

Yet, while it is a beautiful project, it’s not surprising that the sudden announcement has also sparked speculations about the group’s contract status. It seems like whenever a BLACKPINK member does anything, netizens wonder if it hints at the members’ future with the company, and this was no exception.

On social media, netizens wondered if this sudden announcement showed that Rosé had renewed.

Yet, some chose to move away from that narrative and focus on how the decision was probably something from Rosé rather than the company.

Others wanted to share that other members also had schedules, releases, and announcements with YG but wondered why it was only Rosé’s contract being discussed.

Yet, it does seem like whenever any member announces anything, all thoughts go back to the contract. With YG still keeping vague about the contract renewal status of the members, everything each member does will always link back to the company and raise speculations.
