BLACKPINK’s Rosé Sings Her First OST For Highly Acclaimed K-Drama
BLACKPINK’s Rosé has added another feather to her crown as a singer, teasing her first OST for the second season of highly acclaimed K-Drama Pachinko.
The trailer for the second season of Pachinko was released worldwide on July 23, KST. Season one’s grand narrative left the world in awe in 2022. Naturally, the anticipation surrounding a second season was high already. BLACKPINK Rosé’s unexpected addition to the mix has only heightened the excitement.
The trailer features Rosé’s rendition of Coldplay’s “Viva La Vida,” matching the grandiose of the storytelling. The song showcases the BLACKPINK member’s unique vocal color in a new light.

After the trailer’s release, the singer shared the news with her fans on her Instagram broadcast channel,
Rosé’s version of “Vival La Vida” is not only part of the show’s trailer but reportedly will also be the series’ closing song.
Meanwhile, based on a New York Times best-seller by the same name, Pachinko tells the story of a Korean immigrant family traveling from early 1900s Korea to the 1980s in Japan. Produced in three languages: English, Korean, and Japanese, the second season of Pachinko will feature big-name actors from the previous season, such as Lee Min Ho, Youn Yuh Jung, Kim Min Ha, and Soji Arai, among others. Actor Kim Sung Kyu will be a new face joining the cast this season.
Pachniso Season 2, with eight episodes in total, will air one episode weekly on Apple TV+ starting August 23.
