Since departed from YG Entertainment as individual artists, the members of BLACKPINK have remained busy. In addition to reuniting for their 8th anniversary for a special event, they have worked hard on their solo careers in various ways
In particular, Jisoo has focused on her acting career and is set to appear in the upcoming film The Prophet: Omniscient Reader and the series Newtopia.
Last month, Jisoo was the target of criticism surrounding her lack of music-related activities, as fans demanded more action from the idol in that department.

Recently, the idol discussed her true feelings about working on solo music following the opening of her own company.
Jisoo was announced to be the cover star of the December edition of ELLE Korea.
In the interview for her feature, she was asked about her ongoing work, including her acting. When asked about the differences in responsibilities when working as an actress Vs a singer, Jisoo stated that though there were differences, they both had their own responsibilities.
There’s only a difference in the energy shown in each moment, but both require a long commitment and dedication, so the weight of responsibility is the same. However, when I receive a good script, I make an effort to meet with the director and have many conversations. I think it’s important to ensure our direction aligns, as we’ll be working together for a long time.

She was also asked about creating music after establishing her own label, Jisoo stated that though there were many things she had to figure out, she was having a good doing so.
There are so many things I have to research and decide on, one by one. It’s challenging but enjoyable, and I’ve come to realize just how many people are helping me. That makes the result even more meaningful, I think. I can’t wait to share it with everyone.
