During a live performance at a university a few days ago, the group’s backtrack suddenly died, and they continued to sing a capella, gaining praise for their stable vocals. Later, however, JYP Entertainment revealed that they had planned the moment with the organizers, claiming that the members were unaware of it.

In light of this “fake” malfunction moment, netizens’ attention has been redirected to a boy group that suffered a real one and handled it like a pro. In a viral post on Instiz, a Korean netizen brought up the incident that happened to first-generation’s iconic boy group U-KISS.

While U-KISS was promoting their 2011 song “0330,” they faced an unexpected audio malfunction on camera at an MBC music show. The performance recording was over, and as the members were planning to exit the stage, the backtrack started playing again. All the members, clearly confused, still started singing the song, albeit with a little bit of fumbling in the beginning. But it took them seconds to get into the pro mode once again.

This music show mishap already became a milestone incident back in the day. But netizens couldn’t be happier to revisit this moment, talking about how their reactions added to the comedy of the situation.
