BOYNEXTDOOR‘s Leehan was allegedly caught smoking as a minor. A photo of him from his pre-debut days resurfaced on social media, prompting critique.

Leehan can be seen with smoke coming out of his mouth. A cigarette is seen in the same frame. Although it is unclear if he was in middle or high school then, both would put him in the category of a minor. Smoking as a minor is illegal in South Korea, as with many other countries.

Netizens were outraged, coming down on Leehan hard for his actions. Underaged drinking and smoking is heavily frowned upon in South Korea and is considered a mark of being a bad student or a delinquent.

• If only smoke was seen in the photo, he could’ve explained it away, but as a cigarette is being held right in view, he can’t deny it even.

• Even just by his graduation pic… Personally, I’m fascinated by how such kids even think of debuting. Smoking underaged is FR only what really bad kids do.
