[★TRENDING] Brown Eyed Girls reveals the truth behind rumors of disbandment
News of Brown Eyed Girls disbanding has thrown K-Pop fans into disbelief and shock.
According to an exclusive report published by Korean media portal Sports World on June 10th, multiple media personnel have cited that Brown Eyed Girls are currently undergoing the process of disbandment.
The news portal writes that Ga In has already left Nega Networks and will be focusing on her solo career under Mystic Entertainment (A POP Entertainment), while members Narsha, Jea, and Miryo will naturally leave the team as their exclusive contracts with the agency have expired.
Furthermore, the article reveals that Nega Networks is currently undergoing extreme financial difficulties, thus realistically making it impossible for the girl group to release an album.
The report then goes on to say that A POP Entertainment, Ga In’s current agency, attempted to recruit the other three members of Brown Eyed Girls so that they would be able to carry on the group name. However, due to differences in opinions with the members, it did not carry through.
Following the release of Sports World’s exclusive news, officials from Brown Eyed Girls’ agency Nega Networks told TV Report on June 10th, “The reports of Brown Eyed Girls disbanding are not true. The group is currently preparing for a new album. The new album is set to be released this year.”
Making their debut together in 2006 and never once changed or rotated members, Brown Eyed Girls has released many hit songs including “L.O.V.E,” “Abracadabra,” “Sixth Sense,” and much more. Their most recent full studio album, BLACK BOX, was released nearly two years ago in July of 2013.
