BTOB’s Eunkwang Reacts To Being Told To “Act His Age” and Stop Being An Idol
BTOB‘s Eunkwang has given us many iconic memes thanks to his live broadcasts. A notable example is “Why sad? …Give up!”
Yet, in his recent live broadcast, Eunkwang reacted to some not-so-nice comments.
Eunkwang received ageist comments, telling him and his members to “act their ages.” Some even suggested that BTOB should stop promoting itself as an idol group, as the members are older (they’re only in their 30s).
Eunkwang called out such comments, clapping back. He confirmed that he has no plans for retirement, even when he’s an older man.
I thought, ‘Oh, there are people who think like that.’ For me, I never think like that all. With all seriousness, I want promote as BTOB until I turn 80. Then, there’s nothing I can do. That’s it between you and me.

The clip garnered nearly 100K views on X (formerly Twitter), with fans in agreement with him. They were in disbelief over the negative and close-minded comments.
Just like what Sungjae and Peniel said, they’ll still be idol in their 70s or 80s. Growing old with Melody 😀 pic.twitter.com/YLkAbGyrfi
