BTOB Members Burst Into Tears During Last Concert Before Eunkwang’s Enlistment

BTOB held their solo concert, “2018 BTOB Time: This Is Us”, from August 10th to August 12 and took the time to spend with their fans, Melody.

 

And during the concerts, the BTOB members burst into tears.

 

This was because the concert was the last one the BTOB members would do together as a 7-member group for the time being. It was recently announced that Eunkwang will be enlisting in the army on August 21st and Minhyuk, who was born in the same year as Eunkwang, also announced that he would soon be enlisting as well.

 

With the Military Service Act having been strengthened earlier in the year, it has become more difficult for celebrities to delay their enlistment. Hence, Eunkwang’s sudden notice of departure.

Other idols who were born in 1990 and are soon to be enlisted include Highlight’s Yoseob and Gikwang, 2PM’s Junho and Chansung, FTISLAND’s Honggi and Jonghoon, EXO’s Xiumin and BIGBANG’s Seungri with CNBLUE’s Jonghyun already having been enlisted.

 

Only recently, the BTOB members renewed their contracts with Cube Entertainment stating that they wanted to keep their promise with fans to stay together forever.

As a result, the members became even more emotional thinking that this would be the last concert with fans as the full 7-member BTOB for the time being. Other members would also eventually head off to the army one by one as well.

 

Sungjae completely burst out into tears as he described the significance of the two cakes that had been prepared. The one with 7 candles was for BTOB to be forever together and the one with 3 candles was to celebrate Eunkwang and Minhyuk’s 30th birthday.

 

But more than anyone, Eunkwang probably had the most difficulty holding back his emotions, especially when a special video thanking him for being the Eunkwang that he is began playing accompanied by a serenade by fans.

 

Although the concert became a sea of tears, what’s for certain is that BTOB will indeed be forever.

 

Moreover, Melody will continue to support them until they return as a 7-member group!
