BTOB‘s status with Cube Entertainment is currently up in the air as five of the six members’ contracts have reportedly expired.
According to an exclusive report from Ilgan Sports, the BTOB members and Cube Entertainment have not yet reached an agreement on a new contract. Currently, five out of the six members’ contracts have expired, but not much progress has been made on a renewal.
Cube Entertainment has made it known that they will continue discussions with the members but it has also been reported that there are BTOB members who are in contact with other agencies and are considering signing with them instead.
BTOB is keen to continue their group activities should they decide to leave Cube Entertainment. One of the big talking points in contract renewals with Cube Entertainment will be the down payment. Ilgan Sports has reported some agencies have offered up to ₩6.00 billion KRW (about $4.44 million USD) as a group down payment.
BTOB renewed their contracts with Cube Entertainment back in 2018. Cube Entertainment has not yet commented on Edaily’s report.
