BTS And ARMY Dominate Twitter’s Most Popular Tweets Of 2021
It’s been a big year for both BTS and ARMY: from winning awards all around the globe to finally performing in-person concerts for the first time in two years, BTS’s worldwide success continued to grow. One metric that makes this growth obvious is their popularity on social media, particularly on Twitter. They have over 40 million followers and consistently dominate the platform’s trending topics with fans tweeting non-stop love for them.
Twitter recently revealed the most popular tweets of 2021, using the hashtag #OnlyOnTwitter, confirming BTS’s massive social media presence! Jungkook stood among American presidents as the creator of one of the year’s top Liked tweets. His selfie from January 2021 was the second place tweet; it currently has over 3.2 million Likes!

It came in second place only to Joe Biden‘s tweet following his inauguration as the 46th president of the United States. The third-place tweet was from Twitter’s official account, with fourth and fifth place being Barack Obama, the 44th President of the United States, and Kamala Harris, the current Vice President of the United States.
