BTS ARMY Exposed For Hypocrisy After “Meddling” In LE SSERAFIM And NewJeans’ Fan Feud

It was recently claimed that NewJeans fans would be sending funeral wreaths to the HYBE building in protest. The protest would last three days, from July 30 to August 1, 2024. Fans were alarmed after a netizen pointed out that the protest clashes with LE SSERAFIM Chaewon‘s birthday, which falls on August 1, 2024.

The netizen’s post made it seem as if NewJeans fans had sent it on purpose to target Chaewon, whereas fans have stated that the purpose of the wreaths was to target Bang Si Hyuk and HYBE instead.

The matter quickly blew up on X, and other fandoms within HYBE began to step in. Namely, BTS fans, ARMY, gave their two cents on the matter actively. One particularly viral take with over a million views claimed that even during the worst fights ARMY had with BLACKPINK fans, no one stooped to that level.

NewJeans fans immediately began calling them out for their hypocrisy. Firstly, it was pointed out that the protest was not targeting LE SSERAFIM, or any member.

Next, they highlighted ARMY’s hypocrisy, given that they once held a similar protest at HYBE on Minji‘s birthday. ARMY had sent wreaths as recently as May 7, 2024, to protest against HYBE’s management. Although only held for one day, it clashed directly with Minji’s birthday.

Many have called out the initial post by Sniper21 as gross misinformation which only served to paint NewJeans fans in a bad light.

The account has also admitted to hating NewJeans.
