BTS Has Earned A Whopping ₩65 Billion KRW In 2021 With Just Their Endorsement Deals
According to reports, BTS has taken the number 1 spot as the highest earners in advertisement revenue for 2021.
On November 19, KBS 2TV‘s 연중 라이브 released their annual advertisement reports regarding South Korea’s top artists. This year, they shared a total of 8 different stars who made the most in advertisement revenue. In previous years, actress Jun Ji Hyun has almost always taken the top spot but this year, it belonged to none other than BTS.
BTS has been seeing incredible global success and their popularity is only increasing as time goes on. As their value skyrockets with their ongoing fame, the boy group has become one of the most coveted endorsement models sought after by brands.
Just earlier this year, BTS took over headlines with their highly anticipated collaboration with the one and only fast food chain, McDonald’s. Their special BTS meal was launched back in May and it became an instant global success. According to reports, the group made about ₩10.0 billion KRW (about $8.45 million USD) just from that advertisement alone.
The 7 members of the group are currently advertisement models for 11 different brands, including Hyundai…
…Samsung…
…Korean beer company, Kloud…
…and sports clothing brand, FILA.
With the addition of their recent McDonald’s advertisement, it’s been reported that BTS has made over ₩65.0 billion KRW (about $54.9 million USD) in advertisement revenue—just in 2021. And with a full month left in 2021, we can only imagine how much more their revenue will increase.
